I’ve learned a lot from him, and he is a brother, on and off screen. We’ll forever have a friendship that is a lot different than most because of what we’ve gone through together. It’s been an amazing ride, and I’m glad we’re still chugging through together."  - Jensen
I would be doing it a disservice to try to put into words what I’ve been through with Jensen. We’ve more than grown up together. We went from single 20-somethings to fathers, husbands, and it’s hard to quantify in a few short sentences exactly what all that encompasses.” - Jared

We have received many emails and social media inquiries relating to a partnership with DashCon which took place in Illinois over this past weekend (July 11-13).
We did not have any formal partnership in place with DashCon. One of DashCon’s administrators completed a Volunteer Fundraiser form and was approved to run a fundraiser benefiting Random Acts at DashCon. We were only recently made aware of the language used on DashCon’s tumblr page regarding this event, and have asked them to remove the language even now that the convention is over to ensure there is no more confusion.
Many of your emails included allegations and concerns about mismanagement of funds. We are investigating these concerns vigorously. We have contacted the individual by email and by phone. On the phone, early Sunday afternoon, she agreed to cease fundraising for Random Acts.
As of now, we do not know if funds were collected prior to that time. Subsequent emails to the individual asking that both the misleading language be removed and that we be given an accounting of any funds collected with a date when they will be transferred have gone unanswered.
We will continue to monitor the situation. If you donated money to anyone at DashCon that was intended as a donation for Random Acts, please contact Lindsay Heffernan, Development Manager, at lindsay@therandomact.org. If you were given a receipt for your donation, please also attach a copy. If you did not receive a receipt, it may not be possible to trace your donation. Remember when donating, particularly if you donated cash, to always ask for a receipt.
Thanks, and we hope to have this matter resolved swiftly.
